Jeffrey M. Harkness, CFP®

Jeff Harkness is the President and founder of Contractors Consulting Group, Inc. and has spent the last 10 years working exclusively with the owners of closely held businesses. Jeff has worked with numerous companies throughout the Southeast delivering comprehensive business growth, profitability, accounting, and exit strategy services. He has helped business owners value and seamlessly transfer their businesses to subsequent generations, or exit completely via third party transactions. He has continuously provided solutions which allow owners to maximize their compensation and profitability through various tax planning techniques, prudent bookkeeping, and tax deferred retirement plans. He has created strategies that tie key people to the company through compensation models, phantom stock and/or bonus programs. Jeff has also worked closely with owners to protect their assets from unforeseen creditors, tragedies or loss. Jeff has been a featured speaker for various industry associations and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo. He also holds the Certified Financial Planner® designation.

  David Adams

David Adams is a consultant with Contractors Consulting Group, Inc. He joined CCG in 2003 shortly after moving to Atlanta from Chicago. David specializes in helping family-owned business owners and professionals in the selection and implementation of various financial strategies. He has helped our customers with their business growth, tax reduction, risk management, and exit strategy implementation.

David graduated Cum Laude, with a major in Finance from The Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University. He served on several committees for the Special Olympics of Southwest Michigan and coached two teams in Unified Special Olympics Basketball. He is also a member of several community organizations.

  Jay Prange

Jay has worked for the past several years with a local CPA firm, providing accounting and finance services to a wide range of businesses and individuals. His work with budgeting, forecasting, bookkeeping, and individual and corporate tax returns gives him a well-rounded base of experience from which to draw while working with closely held businesses. He holds a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree from Georgia Tech. He is currently pursuing a MBA degree in Finance from Georgia State University.
